About Google Calendar outages
Calendar outages are quietly disruptive: Meetings still happen, but invitations are not delivered, rooms cannot be booked, and the day's schedule is invisible on mobile. Because Calendar is tightly coupled to Gmail for invitation delivery, a Gmail incident often produces what looks like a Calendar problem.
The pieces that fail separately are the web interface, event sync to mobile and desktop clients over CalDAV, invitation delivery, room and resource booking in Workspace, and Meet links attached to events. Third-party sync clients frequently break on their own because CalDAV access has its own quota and availability.
