Contact the IsItDown.now team

Corrections, removal requests, service suggestions and API questions. We read everything and reply to anything that needs a reply.

How to reach us

Email is the only channel, and it is deliberately the only one - A contact form would add a spam surface without making anyone easier to reach.

What to include

Reporting an error on the site

Send the URL and what is wrong with it. Corrections involving a named company are treated as urgent: Publishing that a company's service failed is a claim about that company, and if it is wrong we want to fix it today, not next month.

You operate a service listed here

Email from an address at the domain in question so we can tell it is you. We will:

  • Change the URL we probe, if you would rather we hit a health endpoint than your home page.
  • Correct anything factually wrong in the description.
  • Remove your logo, or the service from the directory entirely, if that is what you want.

What we will not do is delete a recorded outage that happened, or change a description because it is unflattering while being accurate. Our crawler page also explains how to block the probe in robots.txt without asking us at all.

Suggesting a service

Tell us which service and, ideally, a stable public URL that indicates whether it is working. We add services we can monitor meaningfully and describe properly - We do not add a page for every domain that gets requested, which is the main reason this directory is a few dozen entries rather than a few thousand.

Account and data requests

To delete your account and every comment on it, or to get a copy of what we hold, email from the address you signed in with. Done within seven days. The privacy policy sets out what there is to delete, which is not much.

API and technical

Limits, response shapes and terms are on the API page. If you need something the API does not expose, ask - It is more likely to get built than you might expect.

What not to send

We do not accept guest posts, sponsored articles, link exchanges, paid placements or "collaboration" proposals of any kind, and the editorial policy explains why in more detail. Emails of that sort are deleted unread, so please save us both the time.
