About iCloud outages
Apple's System Status page is one of the most granular in the industry, listing more than fifty individual services, and iCloud is really a family of them rather than one product. That granularity is useful because iCloud almost never fails as a whole.
Typical incidents affect one service: Photos not uploading, iCloud Mail delayed, Find My showing stale locations, or backups failing overnight. iCloud Keychain problems are the most consequential because they affect password autofill across devices.
