About Roblox outages
Roblox runs one of the largest concurrent-user platforms on the internet, and its outages follow a recognisable order: The website stays up, login starts failing, then game joins begin timing out. Error 277 and error 279 are connection failures between the client and a game server; error 403 and "Authentication failed" point at the account service.
Because games are hosted on individually provisioned servers, one experience can be unjoinable while the rest of the platform is fine - That is a developer-side or capacity problem, not a Roblox outage. The most serious incident in its history, in October 2021, lasted roughly three days and was traced to a subtle failure in the service-discovery layer under sustained load rather than to any single crash.
